Sad News

Post by tribalsinner »

Afternoon Ausbowl.

I have just posted on the Ausbowl Facebook but will post here for those without Facebook.

A legend among the Australian Bloodbowl Community, Gavan Pearce aka Drakeular has passed away on the weekend.

I'm in shock so this will be short. I will let everyone interested know further details when they are passed to me. Please have respect for his family in these tough times.

RIP old mate.

Sorry to hear, that's rotten news :(

Gav inflicted one of the most hideous beatings I've ever suffered in the final round of Eucbowl back in 2012(?). I remember it fondly, along with his marvellous work with CanCon over the years.

Crap.
Condolences to his family.

Only got to play him once, but he was trying to teach me throughout the whole game! Really appreciated what he did with Cancon.

I was never lucky enough to meet Gavan, but he was most kind in helping me with a few things and seemed a great guy over email. My condolences.

Sad news indeed, and a loss to the community.

Thoughts with all.

Really sad to hear about this. He did a lot for the Australian Blood Bowl community over the years.

Oh man, that sucks. I searched the Canberra Times obituaries and found his:

GAVAN PEARCE
1 July 1964 - 6 August 2018

Beloved father of Ryan and Mitchell.

The Funeral Service for Gavan will be held in the Chapel of Norwood Park Crematorium, Sandford Street, Mitchell on Monday
20 August 2018 commencing at 10:30 am.
