HTML/Javascript Team Roster
HTML/Javascript Team Roster
I've been meaning to do this for a while, but only just got around to it. I've created a team roster sheet using HTML and Javascript, so you don't need to have proprietary software on your computer (like all the other automated team rosters I've seen). I've only just finished writing it, so there may be errors in my data entry. Feel free to point them out.
The roster sheet is rather flexible - it doesn't stop you noting SPP for star players, it doesn't restrict the positions and you can update the treasury to buy more stuff. Basically, I didn't make it in such a way as to avoid the need for common sense. The main point of it is to allow nice-looking rosters to be generated quickly and with accurate values and SPP calculations.
Edit: Updated to BB2020 and renamed the BB2016 version within the ZIP. The new version also handles BB2016, but the layout is BB2020 format (PA column, for example). The BB2016 file is severely out of date, but the new file has up to Spike! 10 for 2016 version.

Is nice would be nice to have a notes box to put down that you have a Inducement or something like that for setting your team sheet up for resurrection tournaments etc.

Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Ok some comments.
Im thinking most of this could be in a non printable help section or something or a hints and tips thread like maybe thsi one..
1.No ability to remove a skill? Like your playing with the roster working out lists you select a skill, then change your mind? I cant find a way to take it out. You can take the player out and then reenter him i guess would be the best way to do it for now.
2.When you take out a player it doesnt add back to treasury so you have to add back.
Ill have a bit more of a play and see what I can see
Good Effort this m8, I couldn't possibly even attempt this so well done.

Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Good idea about the non-printable tips section. I'd already thought of adding inducements and was most of the way through coding it when I went to bed. For resetting skills you can just select the position again (when you select the position it sets all skills to defaults).
Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Incidentally, the treasury is a pure integer value so it can quite happily go into negatives. I recommend making your team the way you want it and then adjust the treasury accordingly.

Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Very very cool mate. Using Google Chrome (if that helps or hinders)
I can't see a way to remove a skill from a player. Is there one I'm missing?
I don't seem to be able to select Morg 'n' thorg or Brick Far'th (probably the single quote messing them up).

Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Oh, yeah. That's the single quotes. I'll fix it up tomorrow.
Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Okay, having trouble getting to sleep so I fixed it today.
Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Also, as noted previously in this thread and in the tips section: you can only remove skills by resetting the position.

Any admin be willing to sticky this thread?
Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Great team sheet!
One thing that would help is info on how to get a picture in the team photo box. What is the "right size"?
And every time I tried to put even the smallest photo in it just blanked my whole page!
Any info appreciated.

Around 400x300px seems to be okay for me. I'll have a look at the page blanking thing when I get some time. What browser were you using?

Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Added this to thenaf.net, like it a lot. If there were another version that did not add to the cost of players when skills were chosen, that would be great for some tournaments, and presumably quite easy to make if you had the inclination (when you couldn't sleep...)
Other options here, too: http://www.thenaf.net/resources/roster-creation/

Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
I've updated it to BB2016, with all the supplementary rules I know of.

And Doom Diver, and Chaos Pact Orc.

Oh, and all the new coaching staff.

Re: HTML/Javascript Team Roster
Thanks for the review, guys. I was sure I'd missed something
I'd added the configuration for 'Ooligan and Doom Diver, but forgot to add them to the team. I forgot to update the Chaos Renegades players at all. They've been fixed.
The new (In)Famous Coaching Staff are under Inducements.

I don't see the coaching staff under inducements.
