Re: Kickstarter - Zombicide
Can someone explain the last update to me? How would I know if my copy is stuck in customs? I haven't received a tracking number or anything...

Re: Kickstarter - Zombicide
I would assume that countries reasonably close to the US have started to receive there copies, some of which have lost the customs declaration forms in transit and which to claim will need to be provided by the recipient. From memory they were going to send tracking numbers for International shipping after they had sent them all out, and they were expecting for some people to get their copies before they sent out the tracking numbers

I am really happy with the minis alot of detail on each miniature. a swag of Zombies and my extra tile set came with an extra sheet of counters So I got plenty now. Could even have two games playing at one time. or one massive game.Devilsreject wrote:how are the minis? good quality?
will try and have a game this afternoon with the wife and kids.

Re: Kickstarter - Zombicide
today was the big one the whole family played. Yup my Wife actually sat down with me, the daughter and the son.
Me: Phill + Pistol + Pan
Wife: Amy + Fire axe
Miss 6: Wanda + pistol
Master 4: Josh + crow bar
We played the third scenario [02] the one where you only have to get one actor to the exit and you had the option to get to the objective marker and remove a wound card. medical cabinet
it was a blast. here are some hi lights of the game.
Awards:
Arrrghh I got Bit: Miss 6 1st to get wounded [Walker bite]
Nip and Tuck: Wifey Most Fatties Killed [3]
Annihilator: Master 4 Most Zombies Killed [18]
Zombie Stopper: Master 4 Most Runners Killed [4]
Noble Deed: Me 1st Actor to die [killed by Fatty]
I Survived: Miss 6 1st Actor to the EXIT
Swing and miss: Wifey Most swings at a Zombie with out killing it [3]
Over view:
Shooting into a zone where you have a fellow survivor is really not a good idea as you will hit them first, then walkers, Fatty/abomination then finally any Runners get hit. but if you go into that zone with a melee weapon you can choose who you hit.
at first I thought this was whacked but after reading one of the threads on the CMoN forum board I understand it better.
the thread is here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/sho ... d-thing%29
I love the sawed shot gun and the Sub-machine gun. though the Sniper rifle will be great [rifle+telescopic sight]
Over all my wife LOVED the game and the kids did as well. Son got a bit distracted but otherwise no major issues and the question we had got answered by those guys on the CMoN site. So looking forward to out next family game.

Re: Kickstarter - Zombicide
each of the survivors or actors as the rule book calls them offers you something different.
Characters/Survivors/Actors:
Josh: Slippery gives him the ability to move from a zone that has zombies, with out spending any extra action points to do this. [eg it costs you 1 action to move, and 1 action point per zombie that is in the same zone your in to move away. so if Josh moves from a street zone that has a walker and a runner it would cost him 1 action to do this but if Ned wants to do this same action it would cost him 3 action points]
Phil: Pistol enables him to do a ranged attack in the zone he is in or one that is next to his zone.
Wanda: 2 zones per action move. So for each action point you give her she does not move the normal 1 zone but 2. See roller skates are useful.
Doug: matching set. when he finds a weapon that is marked with the dual symbol he can search the deck for a 2nd weapon of the same type.
Amy: +1 free move action. she gets an extra action point that can be used for movement only
Ned: +1 free search action. each turn Ned can search a room for free. this will give him more chances of getting weapons, resources or finding zombies in the room.
Dave: 2 coctails are better then 1.. enables him to make 2 cocktails from bottle+gasoline instead of the normal 1.
El Cholo: starts with 2 machetes. he will be your fatty killer. as each Machete deals 2 damage and this will deal to fatties.
Nick: tough. he ignores the first wound he takes. so if he is hit by two zombies he will only take 1 wound card. one thing to note if an Actor takes a wound he looses one equipment card. 2 wounds 2 equipment cards etc etc.
So each Actor gives you different options and abilities.
Each Actor has 3 actions per turn to move, do ranged attack, melee attack or search a room. once you go from Blue experience section onto the Yellow experience section each actor gains an additional action point to use.
work with your fellow actors to move your equipment around do not get separated or to far apart from each other. As Zombies can and will spawn quickly around you.
when you spawn zombies you can draw cards that will cause walkers, fatties or runners to activate out of turn these will screw you over. though there is one card that is nasty [didn't have it so far] is manhole. when this card is drawn zombies will spawn on the manhole covers and there are alot of them so if this happens its really bad.
over all this game is fantastic and with the map editor we can make our own scenarios and play till our hearts are content.
Good luck survivors, keep your guns at the ready and loaded.

Re: Kickstarter - Zombicide
I have only played the tutorial and the first mission with my brother today - if anything slightly too easy? I think he stuffed up tracking experience though. Time will tell. Definitely worth another few plays through.
Not sure I need all of the extra minis etc - they arent used in the normal rulebook so i havent unboxed them. Might flick them on? New characters is good though.
I like the shooting rules actually - encourages you to have a mix of melee and shooting weapons.
