You would REALLY need to hope that Steel resists the Dark Charm, and you'd only have gotten 1 hit on Zachareth.

On the other hand, if you both run in you get two hits, I cannot force Steel back far enough to be threatened by the monsters. I could get him to hit himself, but that's better than three separate hits from Monsters and being cut off from Tetherys.
If we did go forward and attack this turn, wouldn't you just double move Lord Jackass to put him behind the Golem and Zombies? You could also Dark Charm Steelhorns to run him to the corner, so he'd be more than 2 move actions away from him.

Hmm I honestly hadn't thought about running away......... maybe I'll do that regardless of what you do, thanks!

I can't use Dark Charm and Double Move though, because Dark Charm is an Action.

Yeah, that's the trouble discussing it like this. Discussing your options just gives you ideas you may not have thought of!

Trouble is, you may have thought of them and not mentioned them (because why would you! :)). So we still need to take those possibilities into account.

I didn't realise Dark Charm was an action though. That definitely helps.

Since Dark Charm is an action, I think we should go with our original option of standing in F4 and F5, Teth getting 1 shot off and Steelhorns resting. That stops Lord Shitforbrains from getting past us. Yes, we will cop a hit from the Golem and Lord Numbskull but, depending on how things go, we could both be alive and able to lay the smack down next turn.

Oh, and I'm waiting on Steelhorns to go first to "inspire" both of us to give us +1 stamina.

So option 1 is the decision then, taking turn.

Did 3 damage at least. Better than missing completely. Now we wait and hope Virral misses all his rolls!

Where has the crown dropped? As Steel can pick it up off Teth's corpse. Not that it will help much...

Oh sorry, yeah the crown is where Teth was standing. It'll cost an action to pick it up.

Cheers boys figured that. Looks like it's just the 'Runaway Bride' and Steel. Mano a Mano plus zombies and Golem.

Well I died knowing I at least did over half his hit points in damage to Lord Fugly.

And it's over! Well played guys, I had a lot of fun running the campaign.

Honestly I felt on the ropes for a lot of that last mission. I pulled off a very risky play sacrificing Merrick for one of yours (almost two, if that had worked it would have been a one-sided thrashing I think) and that helped tremendously. I consider myself lucky to have pulled it off, I got a very serendipidous pull of cards near the end there (including the Frenzy I needed to kill One Eye and then the Heal card to regain some health for Zach). If Okaluk hadn't died to that Golem, I think it would have been all over there and then.

I think what that goes to show is that with the right skill choices and sufficient funds for equipment, the heroes can be a real force to be reckoned with. You guys performed really well in that last two missions compared to earlier, and it came down to the synergy of equipment and skills. If it hadn't been the final "KO and you're dead" level I have no doubt you would have destroyed me.

You struggled for a lot of the campaign, but I think that's because you were always on the back-foot when it came to money and skill points. If you'd had the chance to harvest more search points and gain some of the early cash offerings, you'd have romped all over me.

I'd love to run another campaign some time soon using the expansions (and not the conversion kit since there were some possible balance issues with the monsters and heroes found there). But not right away... I'll have a think about what game to run next on the PbP thread. Any requests?

What a marathon!

That was just awesome fun Virral thank you very much. Had a ball except for a few breakdowns along the way. Great fun group and consider me in for the next one without a doubt.
