Do we want to play with just 5? Can have a wolf, 3 villagers and 1 healer so it becomes pretty cutthroat from the very beginning?

Its the 31st Millennium and mankind has been waging the Great Crusade for hundreds of years, bringing enlightenment, industry and enjoyable slavery to all its lost civilisations. Leading the armies of the Emperor are the genetically engineered, super amazingly mighty Primarchs (all with their very own daddy issues to guide them healthily into adulthood) who sweep aside any enemies who dare stand before them as they retake the galaxy for their own. What could go wrong??

After some particularly brutal fighting against some long forgotten tribes known only as the "Squaticus Excommunicatus NeverMentionThemEverAgainicusByOrderofGamesDouchebaggius", five of the mighty primarchs find themselves awaiting further orders from their father and the decision is made to spend a week brainstorming future expansion plans, compare tactical knowledge and generally spend time doing what brothers tend to do, fight like children!

Four Primarchs beam aboard the chosen hosts Battlecruiser and Horus Lupercal is waiting eagerly at the teleportation room to greet each brother as they arrive. The first to arrive has no need for such technologies to move betwen the vastness of space however and with a soft pop of displaced air, Magnus appears behind his brother, already bowing mockingly. Horus turns with a scowl on his face and growled "Such disregard for our fathers wishes will not end well, my brother".

Magnus smiled crookedly and laughed "Father knows i work for the glory of humanity Horus. I would offer my homeworld as sacrifice for assurances to that fact" before he turned and strode out the bulkhead.

Horus had little time to chastise his wayward brother further as a sharp crackle announced the first arrival via the teleportation device. He turned just in time to avoid the incoming fist, bringing up his gauntlet to stop the blow in its tracks. Bounding around his target like the wolves he calls kin, Leman Russ grinned madly as he swung again. "Getting old my friend, i almost had you there!" He laughed as he backed away and circled the stationary Horus.

"Sometimes its worth assessing your opponent before charging into battle Russ" Horus grinned back as he motioned to the four las cannon ports that were following the Space Wolf Primarch. Russ stopped dead in his tracks as he watched each cannon settle their aim. "Cannons Horus? You really take all the fun out of life brother" and with that he bound down the hall.

Letting out a heavy sigh, Horus watched Russ leave and muttered to himself "I should have brought a cage for that dog..." just as a double crack brought his attention back to the teleportation platform. "Brothers! I had expected you to arrive separately" He threw his arms wide to greet the first arrival as the man stalked towards and then right past Horus, muttering and cursing to himself. "Ah well it is good to see your in one of your better moods Konrad..." he yelled after the retreating Primarch. The only reply came in a single knife that spun lazily back through the bulkhead and thunked heavily into the back wall.

"Our brother has a way with words Horus" the regal voice came from behind the stunned Horus and he turned to welcome the last visitor. "That he does Rogal. I thank our Father that he sent you to my side, if not simply to save me the coming days locked away with those three delights. Come and let us get this family reunion started". Horus slapped his brother heartily on the back and led him through the bulkhead towards his waiting brothers.

As the teleportation room sat empty, a shadow detached itself from the wall and walked to the middle of the room, disabling the lascannon emplacements with the flick of his wrist. "This will be a reunion you won't quickly forget my lords" the figure smiled as he mockingly bowed low to the retreating primarchs. Quickly gathering his possessions stashed behind a bulkhead, the superhuman hurried through the teleportation door and down the corridor as he planned his attack. In his haste, he failed to notice the face recognition device locating in the security wall, which beeped a clearance notification noise and recorded the data for future review... Word Bearer Erebus was aboard.

Ok so lets have some fun and try to completely rewrite the history of the Horus Heresy. This game is taking place before Horus has even heard of the chaos gods and Erebus is the only git to have fallen under their sway.

Each of you are one of the primarchs while i will be considered Erebus for the storyline. Basically Erebus has now poisoned Horus and has turned him into slave of the dark gods. The roles are below.

Horus Lupercal - Werewolf - May kill one player during the night phase
Magnus - Healer - May heal one murdered or lynched player
Rogal Dorn - Village Leader - Is a true statesman and will resolve any tied votes (this position moves to the other Villagers if Rogal is killed)
Leman Russ - Villager - Useless and enjoys humping Horus's leg
Konrad Curze - Villager - Grumpier than an emo teen on Christmas day who got given yellow socks

So normal rules. I will use blue for my posts, you will use red when voting, only those in red will be considered.

Day 1 starts now. We won't start with a night phase as we only have 5. Roles incoming so get started once you have recieved the PM.

So with the Healer able to heal lynched players... how does that work? Do we not get a reveal on their identity and the Healer has to decide on bringing them back? Is there a time limit on reviving a corpse?

Seems like we might have a situation where the Wolf gets lynched and you can't tell us we won just in case the Healer decides to revive him ;D

Apart from that though it is a total crapshoot on Day 1, we have nothing to go on, no chance of seeing suss voting patterns because there is only one bad guy and no player knows the identity of any other player.

So chosen completely at random because someone has to kick things off...

Oh and this is purely my recommendation you understand, but unless you're the Healer you should just accept mob rule and be lynched. Don't try and fight for a change to save yourself, only to push the vote onto someone else. Even if you are a villager, all you'll really do is focus suspicion on yourself and continue to be a target the following day.

If you're the healer and you become the target, speak up. If noone counter claims, then we know you're telling the truth at least and can narrow our suspects to the other remaining players. If someone does counter claim, then it's narrowed even further.

Yeah the lynching will occur then the healer has the ability to heal so the out one won't be revealed until healer decides yes or no.

So it would be a case of JoeBloggs is lynched but merrily awakens the next day and you will be none the wiser as to what role they where. Unfortunately with only 5 players there is no much else to do about it. By the time the healer gets a grasp on who might be good or bad, it will likely be too late or finished.

Good luck :D

I would love to do this game with ten plus players so i could play a Vulkan character who gets auto rezzed when killed (those reading Vulkan Lives will get it) and an Alpha/Omega dual character who plays both teams. For the future perhaps

Well its interesting that JoeKano did not automatically call the healer roll. So I will also:

Vote joeKano

I'm not sure if he is good or bad but as there is only one bag guy. At least one of the previous votes are from a good guy.

With only 1 wolf, it only makes sence to reveal. Out of 5 people there is now only 4 unknown. If someone counter claims from your view either they or I are a bad guy. If im lying then the real healer will speak up giving the same result.

But no counter claim means that there is only 4 options left. If there were more bad guys I would not reveal this early. But its the quickest way to out the wolf.

Im thinking depending on how people vote tomorrow we should have this figured out in 2 or 3votes.

Its like we are with the last remaining players but with no information about each other.

This is going to be very difficult for the bad guy to win.

In light of whitetail's claim, I posit that:
We manufacture a tied vote, deliberately, knowing that it will be resolved by a good guy (albeit a blind one) and that he won't let himself be killed, thus further tilting the odds towards killing the Wolf.
