Then the wolf must be Sindex. The fact that he thinks I'm correct despite the fact that I've also claimed to be the remaining villager is extremely dodgy plus confirmation that burn couldn't target himself and is therefore 100% clear of doubt.

After Sindex took the excuse to jump on my vote on JoeKano and then laid low I was pretty suspicious but got a bit distracted by my misunderstanding of what burn said yesterday.

If I was the wolf, I'd have killed whitetail without hesitation. By going for another target the wolf has made his job so much harder by allowing two unique roles to survive with both of them in the clear. It's a shame Sindex didn't target me actually, since then I'd be clear and burn could claim leader leaving Sindex with nothing to do but counter claim leader and get wiped out by the tiebreak.

Holy crap Virral, you are a master at this. You threw out that decent sounding story hoping to entrap me into agreeing so that you could throw blame my way?

Now that I have a few seconds to think about it, yes, you are right, burn can't have tried to kill himself, so I could be the wolf...

But so could you.

So it comes down to your word that you would have killed whitetail without hesitation, which sounds awfully like a post-hoc justification and back peddling from someone who has tried to be far too clever for themselves.

Anyway, it's still a crapshoot for the other two and it really depends on who's story they believe.

Yep ultimately we are observers in this process now. Its up to Burn and Whitetail to decide.

You really should have killed whitetail last night ;)

Sorry for my absence, jobhunting has become a rather time-consuming sport.

Now, whitetail, as you have probably surmised, I am the leader/tie-breaker, which is why neither Virral nor Sindex have claimed that, as they know it would be suicide.

I don't have a lot to read here, other than some uncharacteristically sloppy accusations from Virral.

Here's how I see it playing out:
We vote off between Virral and SinDex and either win there and then, or lose another innocent, leaving 1 bad guy and two good guys.
Overnight (if we lynch the wrong one) whitetail protects either himself or me (another 50/50).

That way if we protect the right guy, we have a 2 - 1 vote.

So it's a 50/50 kill for the win, with a 50/50 save throw to get the win the next day...

as for who to vote for, doesn't really matter... They'll each vote for the other and if you choose one and I choose the other, my guy dies.

I've come to realise that there will be no 50/50 save.
So good luck to us.

Youve made the wrong choice, but ah well I cant offer anything to prove it.

Two questions: why didnt I kill whitetail? And why did I vote first?

Compared to sindex, who got a sneaky bandwagon vote in after mine and who had trouble following the game on day 2 (I claimed the final villager and he agreed rather than counter claimed!)

Another observation, I originally thought that Burn must be the wolf, and said so.

Why would I do that if I were the wolf, who tried to kill Burn last night and therefore knew he must have been saved ans cleared by the Healer?

I guess you didn't kill whitetail because you assumed that he would use his heal and then be a normal villager, not realising that it would clear somebody for him (me) like it did.

I also feel that your note to One Eye (which may have been meta-gaming info) re: the healer being overpowered may have been a reaction to your disappointment at the outcome of your night action.

No, it's because I thought the healer could heal multiple times. And it is overpowered, he gets not only to stymie a night kill but also to clear the person who was attacked? That's very unbalanced for a five player game. If the wolf had targeted me instead of you, he would have lost by default. Sindex was lucky he hit the leader instead of the other villager.

I was aware that the healer couldn't protect himself though, which is why I assumed from the moment that whitetail claimed that he would be killed overnight.
