Thank You Vimes, great day!

Its amazing how different things go when your not hungover.

Im still in shock that I won....thought Zane had it covered.
Especially after he kicked my butt 0-4.
Always a good tourney when you beat Thomsy and Gnome.
....shame about those stairs.

I would of loved to have seen Creature's games. Only 3 teams in the comp that are outright NOT agile, 2 were just about the bottom I believe (Orcs 14th and Nurgle 11th) but the Chaos Dwarves who are also the slowest of the lot I think claimed the Ork team prize.

Creature knows something the rest of us don't. Besides "Kill them dead till there's none to oppose us!" :)

!! Oh to have had the last 3 turns against Gnome :( !!

Kudos again to Creature.

And my apologies again to Geoff who didn't deserve to lose that last game. Last turn, I needed a Blitz Kick-off, I needed a St 4 player, I needed Guard and I needed a 4+ dodge to score that winning TD and it all came into play with cards, argueable skill choices for a St 2 Catcher and the unbelievable luck of the die. You dominated that game and I was scrambling to keep up. Lizardmen are tough and you know how to use them!!

Congratulations Vimes on an awesome tournament. Next year's calender is already marked for this event!

Yes congratulations to Creature.

It does something to ease the pain of the spankings I received to know that the two coaches who gave them out (TDs for Zaine 4-0 and Cas for Creature 5-0) came First and Second. :-P .

Also thanks again to Vimes for getting the whole thing organised in the first place. One finds 7s to be fast paced (usualy  :-P ) and furious fun. And its nice to knock over a whole tournie in a day. Keep up the good work and may the Russell-Drysdale prove a popular event into the future :-D

Job Well Done Vimes. I liked the inclusion of the magic items, & nice choice of venue.

Congrats Creature. The dice have finally rolled for you.

Thanks all for a hugely fun day, & some competitive Bloodbowl.

See you next year.

Hi all, sorry for reviving an old thread - but I've tried both the old links - geocities & blutmunth - but neither worked.

Is there a new link for the Rules to the Russell Drysdale Sevens ?

Appreciate the help...

thx

Oh gees, that was a fun tournament. So close too - Creature only won by 2 points. Never did get around to playing that sixth round - I guess we had all had a few drinks too many. Nice of the Leagues Club to allow me to have the tournament upstairs without charging us. :)

I've added the rulesets to my downloads page on my website. The 2008 doc was copied and pasted off Babs' old website (I had kept the page) and I gave it a bit of a tidy up. The 2009 doc was for the second (and last) running of the sevens that year which was at Good Games in Gosford.

One of these days I'll get around to posting all of the results that I have for these events. Unfortunately I don't have all of the results for the first one that was run at my place in 2006.
