Captain Hindsight 2018 League

Post by BeefyGoodness »

Hi All,

Welcome to our superhero Captain Hindsight's week in review:

Image

Note - Rookies make this a bit harder....thanks captain hindsight :)

Week 1:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
Coach One Eye wins the award by not fielding Ted Ginn and missing out on 15 points. This would have resulted in a 10 point win this week. Also of note is by simply not fielding the Saints DEF he could have won by 5 points.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Coach Bojo wins the award this week only missing out on 3 points in the QB position. The next closest coaches had more than 20 points left behind in a huge week of hindsight.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Coach Tribal Sinner wins the award this week with a whopping 84 points left behind across 5 players. He could have crushed a league high score if he had put the right players in!

"Plenty more hindsight power where that came from!" - Captain Hindsight

Welcome to our superhero Captain Hindsight's week in review:

Week 2:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
Double award this week goes to Coach Tethered Goat and Coach DanOzDirect. Having a draw occur due to a tackle adjustment meant any points left behind by either coach would have resulted in a win. TetheredGoat definitely suffered the awesome powers of hindsight this week with a total of 64 points versus 14 points left by DanOzDirect.

Honourable mention goes to coach TribalSinner, by missing out on playing Ryan Fitzpatrick he could have overcome a 49 point differential and won the week!

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Coach Mathfuric wins the award this week only missing out on 3.5 points in the IDP position. This is small consolation in an otherwise crushing defeat from the Titans.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
For the second week in a row! Coach Tribal Sinner wins the award this week with a whopping 79 points left behind across multiple players. He could have come away with the win with some of those points played this week.

"Plenty more hindsight power where that came from!" - Captain Hindsight

Week 3:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
The award this week goes to coach DanOzDirect. By not fielding Chris Carson over Randall Cobb he missed out on 25 potential points and would have secured the win this week by 14.5 points.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Coach Oneeye wins the awards this week, only leaving 9.5 points on the bench across three positions. This didn't help his week however lining up against another hot week from the Bushrangers.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Coach Joe Kano wins the award this week with 59 points left behind across multiple players. Unfortunately this wouldn't have impacted the weeks outcome for him, with too large a deficit remaining.

Welcome to our superhero Captain Hindsight's week in review:

Week 4:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
It's not often that a team could have won by changing out a single player but it's even rarer when it could have done it with either one of two players! The award this week goes to the Hellpit Hooligans who would have scored the W by putting Andrew Luck into the QB slot with 49 points instead of Tannehill who had a game to forget with -4, winning by a comfortable 30 points.

Honourable mention goes to coach Carnivean, who could have swapped out C. Davis for D. Parker and taken down the Wanderers by 19.50 points.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
When you are hot you are hot and the Maulbourne Minotaurs continue to burn through the league, winning yet again and leaving a grand total of zero, zip, nada points behind on the bench!

***DISCLAIMER*** There is a mistake on the NAF website which has attributed 9 points to the Minotaur's player R.Foster LB when he was on a bye... even Captain Hindsight couldn't see that one coming!

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
For our final award of the week, the Ashtown Villains left a massive 137 points on the bench in their loss to the Wanderers although only just under half of those points could have influenced the result.

Honourable Mention goes to Jake it in the Butt who left behind 129 points.

"Plenty more hindsight power where that came from!" - Captain Hindsight

Week 5:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
If Only honours fall to Coach Beefy and the Massiv in their three point loss to the Hooligans this week who would have put up a huge 35 point win had he replaced the RB D.Henry and his measly 3 points for I.Crowell who piled on 43 points.

Honourable (horrible?) mention goes to Coach One Eye who could have turned around their 3.5 point loss to the Skye Knights by putting in D.Johnson over Ajayi or either J.Grant or C.Kirk in place of A. Jeffrey.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Coach Dawesy earnt the title of Like A Boss this week as he not only left a grand total of just 6 points on the bench but he also stopped Coach Karnov and his Minotaurs winning streak in their tracks. Truly bossed it this round!

Honourable mention goes to the Goat who left just 10 points, a far cry from the 30 he needed to take down Jake it in the Butt this week.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Fairly lean week this round with only one coach breaking the 100 mark for points left on the bench. That honour goes to the Coach Joe Kano and the Knights who left 109.50 points but didn't need any of them to stitch up the Wanderers this week.

Note - Rookies make this a bit harder....thanks captain hindsight :)

Week 6:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
Coach Carnivean was the only coach that could have turned around their loss by swapping out QB position this week. Jared Goff had a horror game of just 5 points and had he been riding the bench in favour of M. Trubisky, his 33 points would have given the Villains a 2.5 point win. This is the second week in a row that the Villains could have won with a different player in the starting line up.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Massive week from the Brisbane Bogans and Coach Beaso who managed to edge out Jake it in the Butt in very high scoring game and only leave .50 points on the bench from the LB position.

Honourable mention for the Hooligans who left 5 points behind.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Coach Tribalsinner and the Bushrangers earnt the gong this week by leaving a massive 112.50 points on the bench after some big offensive scores from bench players Goodwin, Smith, Barber and Howard.

Hi All,

Welcome to our superhero Captain Hindsight's week in review:

Image

Note - Rookies make this a bit harder....thanks captain hindsight :)

Week 7:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
It was the tight loss for Coach Karnov against the Brisbane Bogans that wins the award this week which the Minotaurs could have easily won by 12.50 points had they dropped that bum Ekeler for J. White in the WR position.

Honourable mention to The Goat who could have turned his fortunes around by putting in M. Evans in instead of T. Boyd for a 1.5 point win.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Coach Mathfuric and his Pests went all out for their grudge match against the Long Droppers and left a meagre 3 points on the bench between the QB and WR slots.

Special mention goes to the Titans and Coach Bojo who left behind just 7 points across the QB and RB positionals.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Even after his rookies wiped off 47 points from the total, Coach JoeKano still left a total of 77.50 of active player points on the bench and takes out the award.

Welcome to our superhero Captain Hindsight's week in review:

Week 8:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
No award this week as no single player could have changed the results of some pretty one-sided games.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Coach DanOz absolutely smashed it this week by not leaving a single point on the bench for their 26 point win over the Villains. No place for honourable mentions when a team leaves 0 on the bench. No-one remembers second best!

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
And lastly for the week, Coach Dawesy wins the plaudits for leaving a total of 71 points on the Billy Cole's bench

Hi All,

Welcome to our superhero Captain Hindsight's week in review:

Image

Note - Rookies make this a bit harder....thanks captain hindsight :)

Week 9:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
For the second week in a row we had no single player who could turn the L into a W which is amazing when you consider the Bogans only needed to reverse 2.5 points and the Pests 6.5 points but neither had a player on the bench capable of the feat.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
An amazing week for the Like A Boss award with not only dual winners but a total of six teams left only 4 points or less on the bench for their teams! Coach Karnov and Coach Beaso both take the award having left not a single point on the bench, beating out Jake it in the Butt's Coach Fanglord who only left 2 points in the WR positional.

Honourable mentions to Coach Mathfuric, Coach Carnivean and Coach OneEye who only left 4 points behind for their teams.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
A strange situation this week where Coach Karnov just won the Like A Boss award after missing out on zero points from the bench and yet also takes out the Left It All On The Bench with 73 points left behind. It's a scary situation when a team plays two RB's and you cannot find a place for the 24 points made on the bench by J. White. Must be very nice!!

Week 10:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
This is becoming a regular occurance now with a third week in a row where a single player could not change the loss to a win. Coach Mathfuric did have enough points in the rookie B. Mayfield but he has not been activated yet. The Pests have used something like 6 different OB's but never gave poor Mayfield the chance at glory.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
The Bogans led by Coach Beaso takes the award for a second week in a row as he again left zero available points on the bench. It definately helps when you have six players on a bye though!

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
This guy is used to streaks of the winning kind but he also likes to regularly leave the most points on the bench as well! Coach Karnov and the Minotaur's left the most points on the bench for the second week in a row at 75.50 but he didn't need any of them to deal with the Wanderers this week.

Week 11:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
Both coaches Tribalsinner and Dawesy could have turned their drawn game around, Tribal by putting in A.Dalton for A.Smith at QB or Dawesy by swapping D.Carr for B.Bortles in the QB slot or even Lindsay in RB.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
Not a big contest this week as the Wanderers and Coach OneEye take out the Boss award with absolutely zippo left on the bench. It helps when you have 9 players on a bye and two players IA.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Coach Dawesy wins another award this round by leaving a total of 76.50 points on him bench this week. Many of those points could have been match winning for Billy Cole's Moles but it was not to be.

Week 12:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
Some big scoring wins means we again have no winner of the If Only Award this week.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
It has become the theme of the season for the winner of the Like A Boss award to take it by leaving nothing on the bench and we have another this week. Coach Rabid takes the gong with an immaculate score of zero points.

Honourable mention goes to Beefy and his Bonner Massiv for only leaving 6 points behind in the QB slot.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Final award for the week goes to Coach Tribalsinner and the Bushrangers for leaving to grand total of 81 points on the bench across eligible players. He didn't need any of those points though as he feed the Goat some humble pie with a 31 point win.

Week 13:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -
Coach Karnov taking the honours this week who could have won the crucial mathup against the Hooligans by putting in WR C.Godwin who would have got the job done over J. Reynold's single point effort.

Honourable mention goes to the Pests and Coach Mathfuric who would have won by 10 had he swapped out his DEF.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -
A final round win over their title rivals, Coach Rabid left only 3 points on the Hooligans bench this week through the WR position.

Honourable mention goes to Green Eggs and Coach DanOz who left just 7 behind.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -
Coach Fanglord is our final award winner for the season as Jake it in the Butt left a mighty 108.50 points on the bench this week. Quite a few of those points could have won him the game over numerous positions.

Hi All,

Welcome to our superhero Captain Hindsight's SEASON 2018 AWARDS CEREMONY!:

Image

Regular Season Awards!:

If Only award (A single player that could have changed your week outcome) goes to -

It was a very tight contest this year for the If Only award as a total of 9 coaches won the award over 13 weeks. With such a close count it is no surprise that we have a tie! Coaches DanOz and Karnov split the award with two weekly awards each.

Thanks Captain Hindsight!

Like A Boss award (The coach that picks the highest scoring players out of their roster as active) goes to -

Another very closely run award with 8 coaches being nominated but we do have an outright winner in Coach Beaso and the Brisbane Bogans with three weekly awards.

"Must be nice" - Captain Hindsight.

Left It All On The Bench award (The coach who scores the highest with players left on the bench) goes to -

Finally we come to the Left It All On The Bench award and our winner stormed to the title with four weekly awards, congratulations to Coach Tribalsinner and the Bushrangers.
