You know, on the weekend I spent a good 20 minutes scouring the shed for some spare catcher models that I was absolutely certain that I had lying about in order to facilitate that very thing, only to come away confused and baffled as to where they might be.

Today, it finally dawned on me that I'd sold them to Devils months ago! Bloody old age dementia is setting in quicker than I expected...

Anyway, these four are all I've got. Looks like I'll just have to make a decision and stick with it! (Not before base coating every other possible area first, of course.)

It's clearly option A.

Also, you'll be able to see what it looks like at the basecoat stage and see which you prefer.

Really, you prefer the colourful option over the slashed leather motif? Alright, I might have to sacrifice a catcher to the greater good and see which one looks better in the flesh. It's not like I'm going to need all four of them on my roster, anyway. The winner will get a number under 16 (14, to be exact), and the loser will get relegated to the 20s.

I'm with Fortis - for me, the two colour top is the better of the two mock-ups, by a distance.

I have two spare human catchers you can use as "crash test dummies". I'll bring them along on Wednesday.

Thanks, Peakie. :)

That would be much appreciated, kind sir! And if at least one of them is already affixed to a base, it would save me the (admittedly quite minor) hassle of tearing one of my WIP dudes off the pot and bringing him to the game.

They're both on bases, so no need to do anything drastic to your WIP guys.

Catchers are mostly blocked in. Two are yet to get their vests coloured, and these two are my guinea pigs

It's nuts, but I'm actually still undecided as to which one I prefer! The colour swap motif is nice and bright and looks good, but the less garish leather scheme also has its merits. Stuff it, I think I'll do two of each, and decide on numbering at the end.

Colour swap is way better, but yeah, do two of each, you won't use more than two anyway.

We have a winner! White stripes for the win.

Looks a bit stark with just block colouring, but will work a treat once the shading and highlighting is done. Now, to retro-fit the existing guinea pigs...

Yeah, that works. Brings in the third team colour. Good choice.

WIP for the team logo. Needs to be coloured and decorated, of course.

Happy enough with the concept/drawing, but I think I went a little too detailed - this thing won't look terribly good at 200x200 resolution.

You can take off a bit of detail but a few coaches' logos are at least, if not more, that detailed and they hold up ok.

Dino-mite, Flaming Galahs spring to mind.

Have I missed the team name somewhere...? From this I'm assuming it's ''pheasant pluckers''. In fact, that's so clearly a pheasant being plucked I'm not sure what else it could be.

Fantastic logo. Off topic, do you have more of your art to share? Like a blog or something? Would love to see some more of your work.

Catchers are so very nearly done, just the metallics, shoulder pad, laces, numbering, blah blah.

Very happy with the colour choice now, white slashes on the tops were exactly what they needed. The "slightly lighter brown" colouring on the inside of their mitts has paid off. Even the "leather armour" fella doesn't look all that bad. I might save him for when AV8 Human Catchers become officially adopted by the NAF as the new standard. ;)
