Snip the weapons and add a shoulderpad or two and I think you have pretty unique rotters care of Heresy Miniatures:

Just browsing and saw these couple of Rat Ogres from Blacktree if you haven't seen them. Possibly for a cheepish alternative.

I have been struggling to find some figs that I could use either towards a Halfling team or a Dwarf team...[Still have decide which]

any ideas I've spent a bit of time looking and found nothing.

also any ideas on a "funny" looking team? eg cartoonish looking figs....

Cheers
GW

I might change my mind on what team I may get I want a "good" team to off balance my Goblin throw team, and brother inlaws High elf team and Ogre team...

Eureka Fighting Frogs :D Slaan anyone?
Elan is using these as his Slaan team in our local league the MBBL. They came up pretty good but he had to leave the weps on a few, The Blitzers are the guys weilding the comedically large hammers.

For a funny-looking halfling team, I can't go past Impact's Deadling range:
For a funny-looking halfling team, I can't go past Impact's Deadling range:

http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.p ... n=deadling
looked at them....and:

Impact
Rackham
Greentree
Eureka
Privateer press
wargammers supplies
etc
etc

I do like the Impact figs and was certainly one of my options. But as I have mentioned on other threads the p&p plus currency conversion from $GBP to $NZD that kills my choices.

eg

14x deadlings
2x mini deadwood

= $97NZD then plus p&p [which can vary but could be $10GBP to $30GBP]
$25-$76NZD for p&p....

Not sure how your Aussie dollar stacks up to the pound but I know my option get limited when I see a U.K shop selling figs I'd love to buy.

Yes I know I mention price etc.... but with a very strict bank manager [aka the wife] two kids under 4 and we just got our 1st home....I don't get much $$ to spend on my fig addiction so when I do get some $$ to fuel my habit I want the best bang for buck. is that to much to ask for? or am I being unrealistic?

Umm Impact has a fixed postage rate... and if you bought that much stuff I'm pretty sure it would be free.

Is a good online store.

You can get your helldorado mini's there and Dan has a few Blood bowl teams in stock as well.

The price is always competative and the service has been good for me.

I went looking again at the Impact site and even registered so I could check out the postage costs... and Virral you maybe correct on that postage.
I took the following figs and worked out to get 14x deadlings and 2x deadwood trees would come to:

$82.50AUD [$102NZD] and that's all it asked for me to pay. I might do an order with Impact sooner rather then later. might even get a couple of their felt pitches for some custom boards we are going to try and make up soon.

Just need to decide on which Deadlings I want. I think the one below is my fav....not sure what else to get......

Impact certainly know how to do customer service well. I've had nothing but good dealings with Tom. He's always been very quick to answer any questions that I have, unlike many other online stores I have dealt with (not just referring to online mini stores).

Agreed, Tom is made of Win. Win and candy. Everyone likes candy :)

Anyhoo had a discussion with Grimjaw from BABBL today about a game I'm looking at: Pulp City. Good little superhero skirmish, BUT he noticed something I didn't: one of the characters would make a GREAT BB treeman.

FATHER OAK:

http://www.pulp-city.com/files/FOakWWW.jpg

And of course the classic thrower, is this happy little fellow.

DEAD-EYE:

http://www.pulp-city.com/files/DeadEye.jpg

(Stupid pic size limits)

In Aus they're available from Dice Club (currently just an email order service from Jim Dice on WAU). I'll have a look around to see if there are other retailers though :)

EDIT 24/08/2011: Phoenix Forge stocks Pulp City now as well. They don't sell Dead-Eye on his own as he's part of a kit, but if you're keen go take a look.

Cheers!

Anyhoo, loooong time between innings. I'm currently looking through Reaper's Chronoscope range (shame there's no dedicated game for them, as there's some hella sweet stuff in there), but some good adaptable thingies :)

A couple of Ogres:

http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/C ... down/50104 (for the more Steampunk shopper *cough*Scalpi*cough*)

http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/C ... down/50092 (not sure how big, at a guess 40mm base but could be wrong)

A human Runner:

http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/C ... down/50074 (a human Roller?)

Human Coach:

http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/C ... down/50053 (his Pimp Hand is weaker than my Goblin Coach's Pimp Hand :P )

And random others, like a couple of Apothecaries, some armoured dudes and what I could swear was a giant va*self-censored* on legs. If Amazons had Ogre access that'd be appropriate....

Anyway yeah, good stuff in there :)

Ok.

Ethereal Realmz
www.erealmz.com.au

We are setting up as a one stop shop for all things Blood Bowl.

Impact, Reaper, GW, Roll Jordan and Shadowforge currently on our lists.

The website is being slowly worked on but if you are after something email me at info@erealmz.com.au and we will put it straight up for ordering.

I am still working out kinks that I was HOPING to be done by now but alas.

Stock is low while we are waiting for shipments and until I figure out demand.

We are tryin got keep RRP more than competitive and for larger orders we will do free freight.

If you see something that you think is wrong PLEASE let me know and it will be corrected.

I am trying to source alocal perpex supplier to proved templates as well.

We are making our own block dice for local league but they are not cheap so we will only sell to interested parties :)

Hopefully we can sort the australian blood bowl for you.

Again anything you want ASK :)
