Been messing about with a Necro list, because I have been debating taking them since they are T2. Looking for anyone else's opinions.

1 Flesh golem + Block
2 Wights
2 Werewolves 1 + Mighty Blow 1 + Wrestle
2 Ghouls 2 + Block
5 Zombies
3 Rerolls
2 FF

Day 2 probably Gaurd up both Wights, maybe give 1 Tackle

Day 3 Block to the WW with Mighty Blow.

Thoughts ???

Cannot give 2nd skill to player with double. So no Block Mighty Blow wolf :(

Looks solid otherwise mate. :) . Sure hands may be an option on a ghoul. Europeans love the Strip Ball

I thought the no 2nd skill to a double was only a restriction on T1 teams ?

I'm taking necros, only 2 RR, Leader on a wight on day one, thats the only way to get all the positionals and still have 3 RR. Block up the fleshies and WW. Wrestle and sure hands on the ghouls day 2, block on Zombie, Mighty blow on wight day 3.

I do like fnord23's idea of the Leader Wight to get all positionals and start 2x Rerolls.

Alternate Dark Elf Roster Idea:

Dark Elf
1x Runner (Sure Hands #1)
4x Blitzers (Tackle #2, Guard #2, 2x Dodge #3)
2x Witch Elf (2x Wrestle #1)
4x Lineelf
2x Rerolls
1x Coach
1x Cheerleader

Or even drop the Tackle on the Blitzer for Leader on Day 2. The 2x Wrestle, Frenzy Witches may be enough to cover the Blodgers.

Spitballing on World Cup III team ideas

Figured I'd jump in here and keep all the team ideas together. Brunificus let me know if you'd rather I split it out. :)

Having ceded the Humans to Gnome the replace certain greenskin stunties ;) :P I have four team race ideas with one double up. In no particular order of preference, although Dwarves are possibly an afterthought.

Interested in peoples thoughts on the indicated skill choices, races that will be prevalent (2nd Norse Roster is the can opener variant), etc.

For your halfling roster, I'd be tempted to cut the coach, cheerleader and one FF in favour of a 15th player, since you'll be going through them like they're going out of style. Skills look reasonable though. Another possibility would be to use the doubles to block up the trees.

For the Underworld, did you really not want to use either free double? You could block up the troll on day 1...

Similar "no double?" question on Norse roster 2, although that skill selection seems fine.

For the dwarves, a double on a TS should surely be Side Step.

FLINGS: I see your point re the 15th player. But I like the FF and AC+CL as an extension of the Chef. Take their rerolls and deny them any easy ones on the 2x second most common kick results (6,8). 110TV will leave a lot of teams reaching for only 2 RRs I think to fit more players or Positionals and thus the Chef and RR starvation play is mighty attractive. Something to consider....

UNDERWORLD: This UW team is almost exactly my basic team. They lack basic skills and just want standard choices mostly over the Doubles. Though you raise a valid point re Block on Troll day 1.... it again comes down to AG vs BASH. AV 8 up is worried about a Claw MB troll vs an unreliable ST5 Block player. The reverse seems true for AG teams who may be more concerned re Block or even Tentacles. He is missing the Disturbing Pressense and Foul Appearence though to be as good as a Beast of Nurgle in that role. The trick with UW in my experience is to have a versatile toolbox. And the scare factor/ possible CAS generation from the Claw MB is my normal move. Again something to consider....

NORSE: I'm leaning heavily to the first Option. The Jugger and Mighty Blow only really eventuates on Day 3 (2/3rds of the way through the tourney). Same thought for Block on day 2 for the Troll. He misses out on 1/3 of the tourney.

Option 1 uses the double on day 2 and also has a less random feel, though I will miss the zany Big guys antics. I have found that the Claw without MB back up lacks scare factor.

DWARF: Pretty much ruled out. Not exciting enough perhaps over the full 3 days and 9 games. That said, as an alternative to being AV 7 attritioned out of games (pending my last few Oz tourneys perhaps ;) :P ) they may make the cut. They require excellent positional play and so will prove engaging at least.

I am prone to think though that Double is wasted vs more Guard/ MB for Blockers or Troll Slayers. Team needs to match the BASH and hurt the AG early to do their thing. Side Step is perhaps too gimmicky to be worth it.

11 players only with an Apoth? Not too few? Keeping in mind Apoth doesn't guarantee help vs SI or Death and also vs KOs. I tend to find you need enough bodies to feed into the grinder to allow the GRs to do their thing? With only 110TV I may overcome my love of St5 Frenzy mosnters and buy more bodies.

Skaven #1 - I may up the Tackle on the Blitzer to Day 2 over the 4th Block Runner? If people are taking Tier 1 it is likely to be Wood Elf or Skaven based on past experience and sheer speed out of the box. You may need to shut down a Blodge component earlier then day 3.

Similar thought, I might go Strip Ball on the 4th Runner instead and also prior to Leap? Push the ball carrier and then send in the leaper etc to recover. For teams with Sure Hands built in it at least greatly reduces their freedom to move the ball about.

Skaven #2 - I wouldn't go with Extra Arm on the Thrower. I do all the time for UW but they are lacking Gutter Runners. I'd prefer Sure hands on a GR personally, as they can get in and out of tricky spots (AG 4 and dodge) as well which the Thrower cannot.

Otherwise, same throught re upping Tackle to Day 2 only and taking Strip Ball on the 4th Runner.

Juggernaut is not the skill for Kroxigors... Its Guard, or maybe Break Tackle... but mostly its Guard.. or Block. I personally like a Frenzy Saurus in the mix too

Guard on the saurus list, break tackle on the slann list. Frenzy and break tackle are amazing on lizards also.

...there are skills other than Block?
Break Tackle on a Saurus or 2, or the Knox to stop your opponent tying you down, and I've always been partial to a Frenzy Saurus as a safety.

Hutchie i like your creepers roster with the claw troll, the AG teams wont care either way but the bashers will worry about the claw more.
